How We Manage Every Cross

The Crossroad Journey is the same six stages for a single hotel booking and for a recurring petroleum supply arrangement. Only the depth of each stage changes.

01
Arrival at the Crossroad

An enquiry or request is submitted — through a form, by email, by telephone or in a discovery call.

Every engagement begins the same way: you tell us where you are and what you are trying to reach. We log the request, confirm receipt and identify which division is the right route. Nothing is committed at this stage.

02
Understanding the Cross

Requirements, objectives, constraints and risks are reviewed before any work is proposed.

We ask the practical questions: what outcome matters most, what timescale you are working to, what has already been tried, and what could go wrong. We also cover counterparty information where necessary.

03
Opening the Cross File

Scope, fees and terms, responsibilities and next steps are confirmed in writing.

You receive a written scope of what is and is not included, the fees or quotation that apply, third-party costs you should expect, what we need from you, and the timeline. Work begins only once that scope is agreed.

04
The Crossing

The service or transaction is delivered and actively monitored against the agreed scope.

This is the working stage. Bookings are made, systems are reviewed, or supply is coordinated. You get a named point of contact and clear updates at agreed intervals. We notify you promptly if anything changes.

05
Cross Review

Work, documentation and transaction records are checked before the matter is closed.

Deliverables are reviewed against the agreed scope, documentation is completed and filed, invoices and third-party costs are reconciled, and any outstanding items are either resolved or clearly handed back to you.

06
Crossed or Stayed

The matter is completed successfully — or responsibly closed, with the reasons explained.

Crossed means the objective was achieved and the file is closed. Stayed means it was not, and we say so plainly. We do not keep files open to look busy.

What you can expect

The things we commit to at every stage

  • Acknowledgement of your enquiry, with an indication of next steps and timing.
  • A named point of contact for the duration of the Cross.
  • Written scope and fees before any chargeable work begins, with third-party costs shown separately.
  • Updates at agreed intervals, and prompt notice if something material changes.
  • Documentation you can keep — scope, correspondence, invoices and, where relevant, contracts.
  • A clear closure position: Crossed, or Stayed with the reason stated.
Please note

Timescales at each stage depend on the division, the complexity of the requirement and the responsiveness of third parties such as suppliers, airlines, software vendors, inspection providers and logistics operators. Where a stage depends on a third party, we will tell you so rather than present their timescale as ours.

For petroleum matters, stage three and stage four include due-diligence and contracting steps that must be completed before any supply is coordinated. See how an Oil & Gas Cross works.
