Oil & Gas Compliance Notice
The compliance framework applied to every petroleum transaction: regulatory status, due diligence, applicable law and our right to refuse.
1. Purpose of this notice
This notice explains the compliance framework applied to every petroleum product transaction handled by 100 Crosses Ltd, and the checks that counterparties should expect before any supply is agreed.
2. Business-to-business only
The Oil & Gas division supplies business buyers only. We do not supply consumers, and we do not accept enquiries from individuals acting outside a business capacity.
3. Regulatory status
SIC code 46711 is a Standard Industrial Classification code. It is not a licence, permit, registration or authorisation.
100 Crosses Ltd does not hold, and does not claim to hold, any licence or authorisation as a petroleum producer, refiner, extractor, storage operator or transport operator. Physical storage, handling, carriage and delivery are performed by qualified, appropriately authorised third parties.
4. Due diligence
Before entering into a petroleum transaction, and periodically during a continuing relationship, our due diligence may cover:
- Corporate identity — registered name, number, jurisdiction and registered address;
- Beneficial ownership and control structure;
- Identity and authority of the individuals instructing or signing;
- Sanctions exposure of the entity, its owners, its officers and any connected parties;
- Source of funds and expected payment route;
- The commercial purpose and rationale of the transaction;
- Product source, supply chain and supporting documentation;
- End user and intended end use;
- Payment arrangements and any requested security;
- Relevant licences, registrations and authorisations held by the counterparty and by any logistics, storage or customs provider involved.
We may request supporting documents and may decline to proceed where they are not provided. Due-diligence records are retained in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
5. Applicable law
All petroleum transactions are subject to applicable law, including customs and excise requirements; sanctions and trade-control regimes; health and safety law; environmental law; product standards; dangerous-goods transport rules; storage requirements; and insurance requirements.
6. Right to refuse, suspend or terminate
100 Crosses Ltd reserves the right, without liability, to refuse an enquiry, decline to quote, suspend a transaction or terminate a contract where:
- Due-diligence requirements are not met or information provided proves inaccurate;
- Sanctions, trade-control or financial-crime concerns arise at any stage;
- The commercial purpose, end use or end user cannot be satisfactorily established;
- A required licence, authorisation or insurance is absent from any party in the chain;
- Proceeding would or might breach applicable law.
7. No guaranteed availability or pricing
Pricing, availability and delivery are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing under an executed contract. Quotations are time-limited and are subject to market movements, exchange rates, taxes and duties, transport and freight costs, supplier position, product availability, inspection results and regulatory requirements. We publish no price or availability forecasts.
8. Accurate product information
Product descriptions, specifications, grades, origins and quantities are stated accurately on the basis of information verified with the supplier, or they are not stated at all. Indicative figures given before contract are identified as indicative.
9. Secure document handling
Identity documents, corporate records, beneficial-ownership evidence, banking details, proof of funds and signed contracts must not be sent through a general web form or as an ordinary email attachment. We will provide an approved secure channel once a Cross is opened.
100 Crosses Ltd does not collect payment for a petroleum transaction through a website payment button, and will never ask you to remit funds to an account communicated only by email without written contractual confirmation. If you receive such a request purporting to come from us, contact us by telephone before acting on it.
